Freycinet Lodge


Uniquely set within Freycinet National Park, Freycinet Lodge is a superb base for exploring Tasmania's amazing east coast. Enjoy wandering pristine beaches, climbing the granite peaks of The Hazards mountains and touring local area, knowing you are returning to a relaxing waterfront eco-lodge at the end of the day, with cabins and pavilions in a quiet bushland setting. Keep an eye out for wildlife throughout the Lodge's grounds, as native wallabies and echidnas are common here.

Freycinet Lodge boasts views across Great Oyster Bay, best enjoyed from the balcony of the main Lodge while enjoying a glass of Tasmanian sparkling wine. Multiple restaurants are available on site, with Richardson's Bistro providing casual fare and The Bay restaurant offering a superb contemporary showcase of regional Tasmanian produce, with local seafood one of its specialties.

Room Information

One Room Cabin
The One Room Cabin is a large cabin that is ideal for a couple or two adults and a third person on a sofa bed. The lounge/sitting area is part of this room and a balcony is accessed via glass doors, looking out to surrounding bushland.  Bedding configuration consists of one king-size bed and one double sofa bed. Max: 4 people.
 

Family Cabin
The Family Cabin is ideal for families, with the main room including the sitting/lounge area as well as the main bedroom. The bathroom has two doors; one via the main room and one via the secondary bedroom.  Bedding configuration consists of one king-size bed in the main room and two single beds in the second room. Max: 5 people.
 

Premier Spa Cabin
The Premier Spa Cabin is ideal for couples. These luxurious, spacious open-plan cabins are for the discerning traveller and feature a taste of superb comfort, with a large indoor spa tub.  Bedding configuration is one king-size bed. No sofa bed available in this cabin. Max: 2 people.
 

Mountain Terrace King & Mountain Terrace Family
Stylish new terraced rooms with an offset configuration to ensure privacy. These rooms enjoy contemporary design but align with their national park surrounds. Bush views from your private balcony, with glimpses of The Hazards mountains. Bedding configuration is one king-size bed in the main room, with an additional two single beds in the Mountain Terrace Family rooms. Max: 2 people in Mountain Terrace King and 4 people in Mountain Terrace Family.
 

Lodge King
Redefining comfort among accessible rooms, the Lodge King boasts views of Great Oyster Bay and The Hazards mountain range. Located within the main Lodge, the room offers a large accessible bathroom that opens into a main room with a massage bed and lounge area, with access via glass doors to your own balcony with private bath tub. Bedding configuration is one king-size bed. Max: 2 people.
 

Coastal Pavilion & Coastal Pavilion – Bay View
The Coastal Pavilions at Freycinet Lodge are elegant, yet grounded, with architecturally-designed lines and raw Tasmanian timbers throughout. These rooms are superbly positioned to immerse you in the surrounding environment and draw the wilderness in. The bedroom is separate from the living area and is connected by a small hallway, which also provides access to your deck. Bedding configuration is one king-size bed. Please note that only ‘Coastal Pavilion – Bay View’ Includes water views or direct water access. Max: 2 people.

The Bay Restaurant: Indulge in contemporary Australian coastal cuisine, featuring some of Tasmania’s best produce and wines. Overlooking Great Oyster Bay, The Bay Restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere to complete your Freycinet Lodge experience.  The Bay Restaurant is also open for buffet breakfast daily. Dinner reservations are very strongly recommended.


Richardson’s Bistro: After returning from one of the national park’s spectacular walks, kick back in Richardson’s Bistro, overlooking Richardson’s Beach and Great Oyster Bay. Casual, tasty meals are complemented by a good selection of Tasmanian wines and beers. Fresh local seafood is a highlight here. Reservations not required.

Hazards Bar and Lounge: Start your evening with a glass of local sparkling or perhaps a tasting of local gin or whisky, while taking in sunset from one of the most spectacular vantage points in Tasmania. 

Activities

Explore a beach, take a hike, discover local history, paddle a kayak, tour an oyster farm, visit a winery or watch the wildlife – Tasmania's Freycinet Peninsula is a place of experiences. Bike hire is available from the Lodge, as are picnic baskets if your pace is a little slower while on vacation.
