O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat and Mountain Villas

O'Reilly's offers a range of guest rooms and villas to cater for all tastes. The tariff for all rooms includes early morning Bird Walk, country style afternoon tea and participation in evening audio-visual presentations.

Rooms feature reverse cycle air-conditioner and tea & coffee making facilities.

Two Bedroom Canopy Suite
One of the former O'Reilly homes has been transformed into two stunning guest units representing the highest standard of luxury.

The large decks complete with private spa bath look out onto the beautifully rugged McPherson range and provide you with uninterrupted views of the most magical of sunsets. Features include polished timber floors, cedar shutters, handcrafted furniture, kitchenette and log fire.

The main bedroom has a King-size four poster bed and is fully en suited with a spa overlooking the McPherson ranges. The second bedroom features a king size ensemble bed that can be transformed into two large single beds if required plus there is also a fold out queen sofa bed.

One Bedroom Canopy Suite
Spacious comfort featuring recycled Jarrah timber flooring and Queensland maple furnishings. There is a specious living area with a kitchenette, the bedroom has a king size four poster bed and cozy wood burning fireplace, the bathroom has a spa with mountain vistas through a full length window. The suites have large balconies with spectacular views of rainforest foliage and western mountain ranges. In addition to the King bed there is a fold out queen sofa, plus a fold out single ottoman.

Mountain View Rooms
The spacious high set rooms feature red cedar shutters, Queensland Maple furniture, exposed beams, natural timbers & raked ceilings. Equipped with reverse cycle air-conditioner, ceiling fans and tea and coffee making facilities. The private balcony provides magnificent views to the McPherson Ranges. There are no TVs or telephones in the rooms so guests can connect fully with nature. Bedding configuration is either queen or twin.

O'Reilly’s Self-Contained Villas
Modern 1, 2 or 3 Bedroom self-contained, spacious air-conditioned villas sleeping up to seven persons. All rooms are en-suited, with the option of a king or two single beds. The Villas are fully equipped with kitchen, expansive deck with BBQ & Spa bath and views to the valley or to the rainforest.

Dining
An important part of the O'Reilly's experience is the dining - the chef and staff take pride in the freshness, creativity and hearty goodness of all their meals. You will be surprised at how large your appetite is after a long active day in the fresh mountain air of Lamington National Park.

The Guesthouse Dining Room: The heart and soul of O'Reilly's, the dining room presents wonderful food and wine in a cheerful atmosphere with hot and cold buffet served for breakfast and a la cart dinner served in the evening.

The Rainforest Bar: The jovial relaxed atmosphere of the Guesthouse's favorite meeting place, you will have the chance to put your feet up after a long day of activities and exploring in front of the log fire. Choose from a delicious selection of entrees, mains and house baked pizza whilst enjoying your favorite beverage. Be sure to take in the spectacular sunset view from the balcony and then stay a bit longer to watch the stars come out.

The bar is open from 4:00pm daily.

O'Reilly's Mountain Café: O’Reilly’s Mountain Cafe is a popular spot when dining at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. O’Reilly’s Mountain Café is fully licensed. The menu offers lunch including a selection of sandwiches and an a la carte menu. Enjoy lunch while admiring the expansive views down through the valley towards the mountains of the Scenic Rim.

Activities
The O'Reilly's Discovery Program: One of the most important elements of the O'Reilly's experience is the opportunity to become immersed in nature. Their comprehensive "Discovery Program" runs from 6.45amto 9.00pm daily and provides a wonderful range of activities for all ages and tastes. Professional, experienced guides ensure you'll experience the most of O'Reilly's and Lamington National Park.

Bird Walks: Early morning is the best time for viewing the birdlife around O'Reilly's. A fantastic guided tour to begin your day. Complimentary for O’Reilly’s guests.

Interpretive Rainforest Walks: Over 100 miles of walking trails give you so much to discover. Guided walks range from half day to full day.

Flying Fox: Whiz across a picturesque creek suspended 80 feet above the ground, strapped into your safety harness.

Private Guiding: O'Reilly's can tailor to meet individual or group requirements. Special interest and bird watching groups are their specialty with a range of options and programs to choose from.

E-Bikes: Starting from O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, this guided electric powered E-BIKE Tour covers approximately 20km of rainforest and eucalypt forested areas. Along the way there is a chance of spotting a Koala and a lot of other iconic species found in Lamington National Park. You’ll also learn a bit of local history and see the route where the O’Reilly’s originally came up to reside on the mountain. Get ready for a very exciting and challenging technical ride you’ll remember for ages!

Birds of Prey: Meet the majestic predators of the sky and learn about our resident Owls and Wedge Tail Eagles plus our Kestrel and Black Kite. Witness the varying species in free flight performing natural aerobatics in front of a jaw dropping mountain backdrop. Rated as the best Bird Show in Australia!

Glow Worm Tour: Board the four-wheel-drive bus for a guided ancient rainforest tour to the mystical Glow Worm grotto. Perch yourself beside the secluded gully, home to millions of ancient Glow Worms, illuminating the cliff face in a blanket of twinkling stars. The best time to view Glow Worms is after sunset.

4WD Billy Tea History Tour: Join our legendary guides for a relaxing 4WD tour to a breathtaking lookout point where Billy Tea and Damper will be prepared over the fire. This unique adventure is fun for the whole family.

Tree Top Walk: The first of its kind in Australia, provides a bird’s eye view of the rainforest canopyas you walk along a series of suspension bridges 16 metres above the ground. For the more adventurous, climb a ladder heading up a Strangler Fig.
