Swain Destinations began as a love story. Ian Swain a “true blue” Aussie born in Brisbane met his destiny in a New York nightclub in 1984 when he stole the heart of his soon to be wife, Linda (Prehatny) Swain. They were engaged in a month, married soon after, and in 1987 they hit the launch button on what would eventually become Swain Destinations, Swain Australia Tours. The business grew exponentially with their compass set on personal service, high standards and “No Worries Mate!”
Swain Destinations has since become the leading provider of “luxury travel with heart” to destinations around the world winning many prestigious awards and accolades along the way. And though we have evolved through the years (putting dress codes in place to ban knee-high socks from Swain HQ, for example), you can still catch Ian answering the phones and creating customized itineraries packed full of wonderful delights from his own travel experiences and connections. Some things never change…except of course, mullets.
