Questions

Planning Middle East.

Quick information to help guide you through exploring these incredible destinations.

When is the best time to visit the Middle East?

October to April, when temperatures are comfortable. Summer is extremely hot, particularly in the desert and the Gulf. The cooler season is the practical window because desert and Gulf heat can be severe in summer. Spring and autumn are especially useful for pairing archaeological sites, desert stays, cities, and coast.

How many days do you need?

Five to seven nights for one country; ten or more to combine two, such as Jordan and the UAE. Five to seven nights can work for one country, but multi-country routes need more room for road transfers, border crossings, museum time, and desert overnights. The best trips do not rush Petra, Wadi Rum, or a Gulf stopover into a single compressed sprint.

Is the Middle East good as a stopover?

Yes. Doha and Dubai are well placed as a few-night stopover on the way to or from Africa, Asia or the South Pacific. The region is strongest for ancient sites, desert landscapes, contemporary architecture, museums, food, and stopover ease. The right route should decide whether the trip is culture-led, desert-led, or a strategic break on a longer journey.

What are the signature experiences?

The signature experiences are Petra and Wadi Rum in Jordan, desert and modern architecture in the UAE, and museums, souqs, and stopover ease in Qatar. The region is strongest when the itinerary has a clear purpose: ancient sites, desert landscapes, contemporary Gulf cities, or a strategic break on a longer journey. A good route should not treat the Middle East as one uniform destination.
