The stay
What to know about this stay.
Spicers Peak Lodge sits more than 1,100 meters above sea level on a 2,000-hectare private nature reserve in Queensland's Scenic Rim, two hours from Brisbane. Ten rooms in the main lodge and two private escarpment lodges make it one of the more intimate stays in the region, and it holds two MICHELIN Keys. As a member of Luxury Lodges of Australia, one of only 20 lodges nationwide to hold that distinction, the property meets the collective's exacting standards for remoteness, scale and genuine sense of place.
Dining leans into fresh, simple Australian cooking, with a different surprise built into each course rather than a fixed menu guests can predict in advance. A seven-course degustation dinner with matched wines is included nightly, alongside guided walks, mountain biking, four-wheel-drive tours and scenic helicopter flights.
