Tamarind: Tamarind Restaurant is the Cairns casino's signature restaurant which is well known for its innovative Asian cuisine. The restaurant is classy and sophisticated, and is one of Cairns' most romantic and intimate venues for a special dinner for two. Tamarind is well known and popular, and bookings are essential.
Pacific Flavors: The recently renovated Pacific Flavors is a buffet style restaurant which has an affordable seafood buffet on Saturday evenings and a standard hot and cold food buffet on other nights. Again, a very popular restaurant, and it is best to book in advance if you plan to dine here. Perhaps the best meal of the day at Pacific Flavors is the spectacular breakfast! With a hot food buffet, omelet station, huge range of cereals and fruits, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, pancakes, breads and juices, as well as a full Japanese breakfast bar, the Pacific Flavors breakfast is well worth an early start.
Café China Noodle Bar: Attached to the outside of the casino, Cafe China Noodle Bar in the historic Customs House building offers a wide range of authentic Asian dishes including; noodle soups, stir-fries, Peking duck salad, Singapore chicken rice and curry chicken. With seating for up to 100, Cafe China Noodle Bar also has alfresco balcony tables overlooking the city centre.
Activities
Hotel Casino is a center of entertainment, offering a casino, an auditorium and nightclub, not to mention Cairns Rainforest Dome. The hotel is situated in the shopping district, near the Reef Fleet terminal for trips to the Great Barrier Reef.
Cairns Rainforest Dome is a recent attraction to open within the Cairns casino complex featuring a spectacular all weather wildlife exhibit encased by a 20 meter high glass dome on the rooftop of the casino. 100 species of Australian animals are able to wander and fly freely throughout the dome which replicates their natural environment.
The Rainforest Dome offers guests a quality wildlife experience that promotes education and understanding of rainforest ecology. See the Cairns' first underwater viewing crocodile enclosure which enables visitors to view, eyeball to eyeball, a large saltwater crocodile!
