Room Information

As with any house of character all our rooms are unique, each with its own qualities whether it be a view, a spa bath or extra space.  The lodge can accommodate 14 guests in seven rooms:
  • 3 lodge rooms in the south wing
  • 3 premier rooms in the north wing
  • 1 premier room in the garden adjacent to the house.
Lodge Rooms

There are three comfortable lodge rooms, two have mountain views and one looks towards Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown. All are en suite (one has a spa bath/shower and the other two have showers). Two of the rooms have super king/twin beds and one has a king bed.Premier Rooms
The Wakatipu - Enjoy warm afternoons and beautiful sunsets from this luxurious room with super king/twin bed, large en suite bathroom with bath and shower, relaxing armchairs, and spacious balcony.

The Remarkables
Wake up to the sunrise over the mountains from this lovely room that offers a king bed, en suite bathroom with bath and shower, comfortable seating area and a superb view from the balcony.

The Jardine 
This spacious room, facing north, offers sunny, luxurious accommodation with a super king/twin bed and ample sitting area with armchair and a sofa, en suite bathroom with bath and shower and two balconies looking towards the mountains and the lake.

The Garden 
This charming suite located in the garden adjacent to the house was originally the shepherd's cottage and offers privacy and seclusion. It has a separate lounge with a sofa, a bedroom with a super king bed, a large bathroom with separate shower and spa bath, and a private patio with direct access to the garden.

Things To Do

Dart River and Farm Tour: An experienced Otago farmer will drive you to Glenorchy by Landrover while giving you a commentary on seasonal farm activities. He'll take you on an exclusive tour of Mount Earnslaw Station, viewing farm livestock operations - Angus cattle, Perendale sheep, and Red deer are farmed on the extensive flatlands between the station’s rivers and lakes. Take a stroll up Mt Alfred for a sweeping view of Diamond Lake and see the black swans and paradise ducks on Lake Reid.

Have lunch in the Glenorchy pub before boarding the jet boat for a 70km trip on the Dart River.

Dart River and Guided Walk: Combine the Dart River jet boat with a guided walk from China Man's Bluff into the Dart Rees wilderness. Your knowledgeable guide will explain the history and Maori culture of the area as well as the local flora and fauna.
