The stay

What to know about this stay.

Bay of Many Coves holds one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments plus a premium Kereru Suite on Queen Charlotte Sound, accessible only by boat or helicopter, with just 10 guest rooms and on-site staff making it the only establishment for miles in either direction. As a member of Luxury Lodges of New Zealand, Bay of Many Coves carries one of a select handful of memberships awarded only to properties meeting the association's exacting standards.

That isolation is the whole draw: kayaking and paddleboarding right off the resort's own shoreline, and hiking a stretch of the Queen Charlotte Track connected to more than six kilometers of the resort's own private trails, all without seeing another property for miles. The Foredeck restaurant's three-course dinner is included nightly, since there is nowhere else nearby to eat.
Beyond the stay

Experiences nearby

Reachable only by boat or helicopter, Bay of Many Coves is genuinely remote, and that isolation is the whole draw: kayaking and paddleboarding right off the resort's own shoreline, and hiking a stretch of the Queen Charlotte Track connected to more than six kilometers of the resort's own private trails, all without seeing another property for miles. The Foredeck restaurant's three-course dinner is included nightly, which matters more here than at a typical hotel since there is nowhere else nearby to eat.
