Hulbert House occupies a restored 1888 Victorian villa a short walk from central Queenstown, just eight rooms, five Premium Rooms and a Grand Room, each named for a figure in the house's history, with views over Lake Wakatipu, Skyline Hill or the garden. A full breakfast including homemade sourdough and free-range eggs starts each morning here.
The property leans deliberately into a private-home feel, all Hungarian goose-down bedding and just eight rooms, over a more conventional hotel stay, while being a short walk from central Queenstown means the town's restaurants and lakefront remain close at hand despite the quiet, residential character of the house itself.
