Overview

Inhale the salt air of Waiheke Island, the scent of native forests, the mineral-rich steam of Rotorua, and the crisp alpine air of the Southern Alps. Exhale stress, distraction, and the pace of everyday life. Thoughtfully crafted around nature, culture, and moments of stillness, this is New Zealand at its most restorative.

Your journey, day by day

  1. Day 1

Welcome to New Zealand & City Walking Tour

Your wellness journey begins in a spacious, elegant sanctuary at the water's edge. Breathe in the harbor air from your private rooftop balcony as you settle in at Park Hyatt Auckland.

Later, step into the rhythm of New Zealand’s largest city on a private walk with a local guide. Stroll Auckland’s waterfront, pause at scenic viewpoints, and move through lively dining, shopping, and cultural areas as stories of the city’s history and architecture begin to unfold.
  2. Day 2

Waiheke Island Food & Wine Tour

A scenic ferry ride carries you across the Hauraki Gulf to Waiheke Island, where vineyard-covered hills meet sheltered bays and stretches of white sand. Taste your way through boutique vineyards and olive groves, linger over a leisurely lunch overlooking the coast, and slip into the island's relaxed, bohemian pace.

Later, wander beneath the rainforest canopy foraging for native plants to steep into a cup of tea. It's a quiet ritual that invites you to slow down and a fitting reflection of a day shaped by the island's natural abundance.

This evening, retreat to The Boatshed, a chic seaside hideaway where the white sand beach, tranquil setting, and understated luxury make it easy to slow down and simply be.

  3. Day 3

    Forest Bathing Walk

Inhale the fresh sea air. Exhale as you step into the native forest of Waiheke Island.

Guided by an accredited forest bathing practitioner, move slowly beneath the canopy, awakening each of your senses through gentle mindfulness practices inspired by nature. A peaceful tea ceremony concludes the experience, creating space to absorb the calm before carrying it with you throughout the rest of your journey.

  4. Day 4

    Auckland to Rotorua via Hobbiton

Cross the sparkling waters of the Hauraki Gulf by ferry before continuing south through New Zealand's emerald countryside. Soon, the landscape may begin to look uncannily familiar. You have arrived in the Shire.

Hobbiton is the world's largest green film set and the only one preserved in its natural setting. Forty-four hobbit holes dot the hillside above the Mill and the double-arch bridge, while the Party Tree still stands where Bilbo's eleventy-first birthday celebration lit up the night. Duck through the round door of a hobbit hole, pause outside Bag End to take in the view across the rolling hills, then wander to the Green Dragon Inn for a well-earned pint.

From there, the road carries you on toward On the Point Lake Rotorua. Steam rises in the distance, a first whisper of the geothermal wonders waiting to be explored. Surrounded by the waters of Lake Rotorua, your peaceful lakeside retreat offers a place to slow down between moments of exploration.

  5. Day 5

Tiaki Promise Tour & Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa

Today is rooted in the Māori concept of tiaki: to care for, protect, and preserve people, place, and culture. Accompanied by a local guide, you'll be welcomed with a traditional karakia, a prayer for safe passage, before experiencing Mori traditions and learning how native plants have long been used for healing. Along the way, share a picnic lunch, lend a hand restoring the mauri, or life force, of tribal land, and conclude with a peaceful kawakawa tea ceremony.

The afternoon continues at Wai Ariki Hot Springs & Spa, where Ngāti Whakaue healing traditions shape every moment. Geothermal waters, mineral-rich mud, restorative steam, and thermal pools come together in a wellness ritual designed to restore body, mind, and spirit, all overlooking the shores of Lake Rotorua.

Today begins from above. As you summit Mount Tarawera, your pilot shares the story of the dramatic 1886 eruption that forever transformed the region.

The journey ends somewhere altogether quieter. Touch down on Lake Rotoiti and slip into a series of secluded geothermal spring-fed hot pools. Soak in mineral-rich waters, cool off with a swim in the lake, and settle into the stillness as the outside world fades away.
