Day By Day

Day 1 – Welcome to Mauritius
Upon arrival into Mauritius you will be met and transferred to your accommodation.

The small volcanic island of Mauritius is situated in the warm inviting waters of the Indian Ocean, surrounded by magnificent coral reefs and an abundance of exotic and colorful sea life. The scattering of quaint towns and villages offers visitors an opportunity to see true Mauritian life while the water sports on offer are extensive, from excellent diving and snorkeling to deep sea fishing. The historic capital of Port Louis showcases a bustling marketplace brimming with exotic spices, gifts and unique souvenirs. Mauritius will enchant and uplift the soul and every encounter is an opportunity to discover a friendly face. Behind each smile lies the promise of a unique experience. The contrast of a multitude of colors and tastes, the island, set in its turquoise sea, is an oasis of peace and tranquility. Mauritius is a melting pot where past and present smoothly blends together offering an essential beauty that will compel one to return to its shores time and time again. Grand Bay was the first area of the island to fully experience the tourist boom. A shopping and leisure paradise, Grand Bay also happens to be the area where Mauritians head for when they want a fun-filled night out.

Day 5 – Mauritius to Cape Town, South Africa
Today you depart the tropical island of Mauritius for South Africa. Transfer to the airportyou’re your flight to Cape Town.

Upon arrival into Cape Town you will be met and transferred to your accommodation

South Africa’s “Mother City” is indescribably beautiful, steeped in fascinating history and pulsating to a heady African rhythm. Indeed, few urban centers anywhere can match its setting along the mountainous Cape Peninsula spine, which slides into the Atlantic Ocean. A ride in a cable car to the top of Table Mountain, a ferry journey to Robben Island, or a meandering tour through the Winelands will leave you in no doubt that this place is an absolute highlight on any vacation to Africa. South Africa boasts incredibly good weather, gorgeous scenery and fantastic beaches and is one of the most diverse and enchanting countries in the world. Exotic combinations of landscapes, people, history and culture offer visitors a unique and inspiring experience.

Day 6 – Cape Point Half Day Tour
Today explore the Fairest Cape on this half day tour. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard past the beautiful beach locations of Clifton and Camps Bay towards the Cape Point, the most Southwesterly tip of the African Continent. Within Cape Point, the treacherous cliffs forming the most southwestern tip of Africa are some of the highest in the world and mark the spot where the cold Beguela current on the West coast and the warm Agulhus current on the East coast merge. The Cape of Good Hope is one of the two world-renowned landmarks within the Table Mountain National Park, the other is Table Mountain. This part of the park is home to an array of fynbos, over 250 species of birds, bucks, baboons and Cape mountain zebras. Hop aboard the funicular and you will be whisked away on a scenic trip 780 feet above the ocean to where the old lighthouse keeps watch over the seas. The journey continues to False Bay, one of the largest and most picturesque stretches of coastline. Stop at Simon’s Town, the historical naval village. Boulders the African Penguin Colony in Simons Town is home to the African penguin and now has over 3,000, though the species as a whole is listed as endangered. Wooden walkways allow visitors to view the penguins in their natural habitat. Returning to Cape Town, enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Day 7 – Cape Winelands Full Day Tour
The Cape Winelands are amongst the most scenic in the world. A visual feast of lush green valleys, rugged mountains, fine cuisine, and world-class wine producing estates make up the Cape Winelands. Its many historic wine estates, characterized by classic Cape Dutch-style buildings with distinctive gables and thatched roofs, and massive vineyards, date back centuries. Wine estates are bordered by: the Hottentots, Holland; the Franschhoek Mountains; and in the North, by the Wemmershoekberg. The most popular and well-known are Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. The Cape Winelands offers some of the finest wine tasting experiences. Spend the day exploring wine estates, historical land marks and the second oldest town in South Africa, Stellenbosch. There is even the option to visit a Vintage Motor Museum or enjoy a Chocolate Tasting at the boutique Chocolatier in Franschhoek.

Day 8 – Cape Town to Kapama Private Game Reserve
Today you will continue your adventure. Fly from Cape Town to Hoedspruit. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your accommodation, Jabulani located in the Kapama Private Game Reserve.

The 16,000 hectare private game reserve on which Jabulani is located, is home to an abundant population of the Big Five and ensures excellent sightings.

Day 9 – Activities at Jabulani
Spend the day enjoying the activities offered at Jabulani. Jabulani is based on Kapama, a Big 5 Game Reserve near to Kruger National Park. The lush vegetation and varied habitats of this balanced ecosystem means that it is able to support dense populations of wild animals, offering world class game viewing opportunities. A true African Big five safari experience, visitors will enjoy herds of antelope, giraffe and zebra grazing and congregating at the many waterholes, their senses alert to the threat of a hunting predator in the area.  Accompanied by qualified rangers head out in search of The Big 5, and the smaller - but no less significant - creatures that are part of an African Safari. Jabulani's rangers are consummate professionals.

Day 10 – Activities at Jabulani
Enjoy another day of wildlife activities at Jabulani. Not to be missed is the introduction to the Jabulani elephants. Their sheer size and extraordinary presence is humbling, one cannot help but be changed forever after sharing an experience with the Jabulani elephants.

Day 11 – Activities at Jabulani
Spend another the day enjoying the activities offered at Jabulani.

Enjoy your last game activity at Jabulani before transferring to the airstrip for your light air craft transfer to Johannesburg Airport where you will connect with your onward flight
