Lion Sands Tinga Lodge

Lion Sands is the only private reserve rooted in both the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve and Kruger National Park allowing for exclusive traversing on private concessions. Lion Sands conserves 30,600 acres of a habitat that is home to the highest and most diverse concentration of wildlife in the southern hemisphere offering exceptional game-viewing opportunities. Lion Sands Tinga Lodge is the classic safari experience, with a focus on the senses. Nine luxury suites capture the romance of the pioneer era, in considerably more comfort. Set apart on a high bank up from the Sabie River, each Suite is privately set with its own plunge pool and deck overlooking the water making the most of a view that often sees wildlife passing through. There is also a spa sala, the main lodge with its bar lounge, library, guest pool and boma offering spaces to enjoy the company of others, or some personal quiet moments. The lodge caters to children with a dedicated children’s program offering a wide variety of activities on site that keep the young ones entertained. There is a dedicated playroom for arts and crafts, baking and more.

Each of the lodge’s nine Suites is a sophisticated waterside haven, capturing the nostalgia of the pioneer days, while providing considerably more comfort. Stepping out through the glass doors, your deck is for pool lounger safaris and dining experiences set up just for you. All suites include a private outdoor shower and private plunge pool.

Hinkwenu Residence
This stand-alone Villa off in the bush makes the Tinga experience exclusively yours. It’s spacious and secluded with Two en-suite bedrooms, open plan kitchen and dining area, lounge, patio, deck and outdoor pool. The exclusive-use hideaway comes with a hospitality team, field guide and game viewer.
