Roving Bushtops

The wonderful thing about Roving Bushtops is that the camp is set up in the part of the vast Serengeti plains best suited to changing conditions, migration patterns and the best game viewing opportunities. The camp moves between two locations in any year, giving guests access to the unimaginably vast 10,000 square mile (15,000 square kilometer) Serengeti ecosystem, of which almost two thirds forms the national park.

Roving Bushtops’ central shared space provides superb breakfasts, lunches and dinners, set against the compelling beauty of the Serengeti. You can enjoy equally captivating views should you choose to dine in the privacy of your own tent. Room Information

Each of the 8 tents is packed into an extraordinary, utterly unique mobile unit called the Rover – hence the name Roving Bushtops. The idea was conceived, designed and created by the owner and founder introducing something genuinely innovative to the African safari. During the day this tented haven is open on three sides, letting you gaze out at timeless, endless vistas, interrupted only by birdsong. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower. The tents are beautifully furnished in a contemporary style and have loungers and dining table on the wooden deck which spans over 328 square-feet (100 square-meters). All tents are equipped with a safe, hair dryer, 220v AC. All tents can be converted to become family units. Children are welcome from the age of 7 years.

Nature Walk
Guided by a local Kuria tribesman gain first-hand, close-up insights into the amazing flora and fauna that surround you.

Robanda School Visit (done from central Serengeti location)
Enjoy a tour led by or a teacher which is informative, memorable and often inspirational, as you meet Tanzania’s next generation.

Sundowners
Let the landscape seep into your soul, watching the deepening blues of the sky become streaked by a palette of reds and golds as you sip on a refreshing drink.

Hot Air Balloon Safari
It really doesn’t matter where you look: the view from a balloon above the Serengeti is to die for. Vistas as far as the eye can see. Herds and individual animals dotting the landscape. Plus the remarkable feeling of being airborne in such an extraordinary way.

Black Rhino Experience
The black rhino is one of the most scarce, endangered and elusive beasts of the Bush, making a sighting a particularly special occasion. Join a Tanapa (Tanzania National Parks) ranger on a two-hour, up-close stay with one or more black rhinos, viewed in their natural habitat. Must be booked in advance.
