For the first time in the southern hemisphere, WorldPride is coming to Sydney in 2023 to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and showcase the diversity of Australia and the Asia-Pacific.
Taking place over 17 days, WorldPride will include all of the beloved Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras experiences, including the Parade, Party, and Sissy Ball, as well as over 300 other events across the city.
The events kick off on February 24 with the Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert presented by American Express at the Domain, with Pop royalty Kylie Minogue confirmed as the headlining act.
Hosted by Casey Donovan and Courtney Act, and broadcast live around the nation on ABC TV, the best of Australia’s singers and musicians will get the WorldPride party started at Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert, presented by American Express. Further Live and Proud acts will be announced later this year.
The Domain will also play host to the Domain Dance Party on February 26, where you and 10,000 of your closest friends can experience 7 hours of outdoor dance party excitement!
Speaking of outdoor parties, on March 4 Bondi Beach will become Sydney's hottest club, hosting up to 12,000 people in the afternoon and into the evening!
Wrapping up the festivities on March 5 is Rainbow Republic, a massive music festival at The Domain with up to 20,000 people and musical acts from around the world.
In addition to these festivities, WorldPride also coincides with the 50th anniversary of Australia Gay Pride Week, 45th anniversary of the first Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, and the 5th anniversary of marriage equality in Australia.
