Swain Destinations

As you are well aware, the Coronavirus COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on travel globally. It is our priority to ensure our partners and travelers are informed and up to date on anything that may impact travel arrangements.

Swain Destinations is continuously monitoring the updates and developments from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), our partners on the ground, and global news sources about COVID-19. The situation is fluid with new information coming out daily.

We have created this resource to make navigating the travel impact of the Coronavirus COVID-19 simpler. Our Travel Team is always available to answer any questions or concerns in regards to any travel impact.

Due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Swain Destinations will be proactively postponing and adjusting all Itineraries with travel start dates through May 31, 2020.

The safety and security of our Team and Travelers is our top priority. We believe this is the right decision to ensure that.

Our Team of Travel Consultants will be contacting all affected Itineraries and working on postponing or deferring travel arrangements to a later date.

As this situation is fluid, we will be monitoring and adjusting as needed while keeping you all informed. Please reach out to your Relationship Manager or Travel Consultant for more information, questions or concerns. We continue to personalize itineraries for travel dates later in the year and into 2021 with incredible offers and unique experiences.

These are challenging times for our industry. Through partnership and teamwork, we can come through this together to continue to show travelers this incredible world. Your partnership and business is greatly appreciated.

Best Practices for Safe Travel

Please see our latest advice on Best Practices while Traveling. These best practices are formulated from the World Health Organization and align with general day-to-day best practices for health and hygiene.

Perform hand hygiene frequently. Hand hygiene includes either cleaning hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand rub. Alcohol-based hand rubs are preferred if hands are not visibly soiled; wash hands with soap and water when they are visibly soiled.

Cover your nose and mouth with a flexed elbow or paper tissue when coughing or sneezing and disposing immediately of the tissue and performing hand hygiene.

Refrain from touching mouth and nose.

A medical mask is not required if exhibiting no symptoms, as there is no evidence that wearing a mask – of any type – protects non-sick persons. However, in some cultures, masks may be commonly worn.

As for any travel, travelers are also advised to follow proper food hygiene practices, including the five keys for food safety.
