Day 2 – Cross the International Date Line
Cross the International Date Line, an imaginary line on the surface of the Earth that runs from the North to the South Pole - and defines one calendar day from the next. Crossing the International Date Line adds one day (24 hours) traveling west, and subtracts one day (24 hours) traveling east.
Day 3 – Welcome to Brisbane
Upon arrival, a driver will meet you in the baggage claim area to transfer you to your accommodation. Emporium Hotel, South Bank

Day 4 – Brisbane City and Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
Pat a koala, hand-feed a kangaroo, and see hundreds of other unique Aussie wildlife on a private, guided tour through one of the "Top Ten Zoos in the World." This is an informative tour where you can learn about Australia's native fauna and flora in the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, with over 130 koalas. The sanctuary has a large variety of other Aussie wildlife, all in beautiful, natural settings. Drive past some of Brisbane's beautiful sights on the way to and from the zoo.
Your knowledgeable guide picks you up from your accommodation and on the way to the zoo, discusses the region's rich history including Brisbane from English prison to modern metropolis. Highlights at Lone Pine include a variety of birds-of-prey in the popular "Free-Flight Show" and hand-feeding the kangaroos. Day 5 – Brisbane to Lamington National Park
This morning, you will depart from your accommodations to head straight to Lamington National Park. Leaving Brisbane, learn about the convict history of Brisbane and the European settlement of southern Queensland. Your driver/guide will discuss how the surrounding volcanic mountains were formed 24-million years ago and describe the region's pioneering history.Lamington National Park Tour
You will head up the mountain via a 4WD mountain trek along Duck Creek Road - far away from the tourists through a variety of Australian landscapes with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Keep a lookout for the cute pademelons (small rainforest-dwelling kangaroos) as you arrive at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, deep in UNESCO World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park. Hand-feed the cheeky but vibrantly colored crimson rosellas and king parrots - both truly some of Australia's most beautiful birds. Enjoy lunch high on the mountain with views west over the valleys while you learn about local folklore of the Stinson wreck and the O'Reilly's rescue of two men from a plane crash deep in the forest. Among the rainforest is the famous O'Reilly's Tree Top Walk. This walk takes you through a canopy of lush rainforest. Close your eyes and totally relax - you're deep in the forest surrounded by nothing but nature. Listen to the sounds in a true bird-lovers' paradise with 160 species. For the active guests, a two-to-three-hour walk through some of Australia's most stunning rainforest is on offer. Relax by the beautiful Elabana Falls - often all to yourself. Day 6 – Day at Leisure
Today is at your leisure to explore all that Lamington National Park has to offer.
Lamington National Park is a jewel in the crown of rainforest bushwalking in Queensland. There are 200 miles of walking tracks that lead to spectacular lookouts, amazing waterfalls, and some of the region's most significant wilderness areas. The treetop walk at O'Reilly's provides a birds eye view of the rainforest canopy as you walk along a series of suspension bridges, 50 feet above the ground. Day 7 – Lamington National Park to Gold Coast

Today is at your leisure to explore all that the Gold Coast has to offer.
The Gold Coast is situated in the southeast corner of Queensland; and at its heart is the famous Surfers Paradise, one of Queensland's premier holiday destinations. Less than a one-hour drive from the state capital, Brisbane, holiday-makers from all over the world come here to enjoy the tropical climate and the sophisticated night life. The Gold Coast is bordered on the east by magnificent surf beaches and to the west be glorious rainforest (hinterland). Day 9 – Queensland to USA
Today you will be transferred from your accommodation to the Brisbane Airport for your flight back to the USA.
