This is an informative tour where you can learn about Australia's native fauna and flora in the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, with over 130 koalas. The sanctuary has a large variety of other Aussie wildlife, all in beautiful, natural settings. Drive past some of Brisbane's beautiful sights on the way to and from the zoo.

Your knowledgeable guide picks you up from your accommodation and on the way to the zoo, discusses the region's rich history including Brisbane from English prison to modern metropolis. You will head up the mountain via a 4WD mountain trek along Duck Creek Road - far away from the tourists through a variety of Australian landscapes with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Keep a lookout for the cute pademelons (small rainforest-dwelling kangaroos) as you arrive at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, deep in UNESCO World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park. Hand-feed the cheeky but vibrantly colored crimson rosellas and king parrots - both truly some of Australia's most beautiful birds. Enjoy lunch high on the mountain with views west over the valleys while you learn about local folklore of the Stinson wreck and the O'Reilly's rescue of two men from a plane crash deep in the forest. Among the rainforest is the famous O'Reilly's Tree Top Walk. This walk takes you through a canopy of lush rainforest. Close your eyes and totally relax - you're deep in the forest surrounded by nothing but nature. Listen to the sounds in a true bird-lovers' paradise with 160 species. For the active guests, a two-to-three-hour walk through some of Australia's most stunning rainforest is on offer. Relax by the beautiful Elabana Falls - often all to yourself. Afternoon tea with stunning views out to the distant valleys awaits at the end of your walk. Leaving the rainforest, a stop is made at Kamarun Lookout with 270-degree views over the gorgeous Sarabah Valley and across to Springbrook.
