Day By Day

Day 1 – USA to New South Wales
Today you will begin your Swain Destinations customized itinerary. Please note, international air has not been included in this package price.

Day 2 – Cross the International Date Line
Cross the International Date Line, an imaginary line on the surface of the Earth that runs from the North to the South Pole - and defines one calendar day from the next. Crossing the International Date Line adds one day (24 hours) traveling west, and subtracts one day (24 hours) traveling east.

Day 3 – Welcome to Blue Mountains
Upon arrival, a driver will meet you in the baggage claim area to transfer you to your accommodation.

Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley
Australia's Great Driving Range takes you away from the bustle of the city, through grand mountain ranges under clear open sky, until reaching Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa. Just a two-and-a-half hour drive from Sydney, the resort is nestled between the scenic Wollemi National Park and the Gardens of Stone National Park. The Wolgan River twists and turns through the valley, creating a stark contrast of soft rolling hills and jagged sandstone cliffs. The World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains rise against the horizon, providing a breathtaking backdrop that can't be found anywhere else. Three types of villas are available to guests that feature private pools, crackling wood fireplaces and landscaped gardens. The resort draws inspiration from its homestead roots, incorporating traditional design with modern amenities and natural elements. The large windows open up to the 4,000 acres of conservation reserve area; the resort is dedicated to protecting the endangered Australian wildlife that is native to the valley. One&Only Spa is located on site where calming mists from the mountains soothe the senses and nature is harvested for holistic oils, massages and body rituals. Enjoy a guided nature walk through Blue Mountain trails, take a horseback ride across the homestead, try your hand at archery or explore the quaint antique shops nearby.

Starting Accommodation: Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley (L, D)

Day 4 – Day at Leisure
Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley's engaging Field Guides are able to offer inspiring suggestions on what to see in Wolgan Valley and the surrounding Blue Mountains region. Choose from hiking nature trails, exploring the countryside on horseback, touring by four-wheel drive vehicle, mountain biking through forests or star gazing in the dead of night. These are just some of the many adventures awaiting those with a love for Australia's great outdoors.

Horse riding: From a lively trot or canter across the wide grassy plains to a gentle ride through more enclosed areas, the sandstone escarpments of Wolgan Valley dwarf all below, putting the scale of things squarely into perspective.

Nature Walks: By taking to the reserve on foot, it's possible to explore the minutiae of the flora and fauna all around in a variety of relaxing ways, including recording your memories on film or canvas.

Mountain Biking: Ride fast and free or pass gently through the wilderness by way of pedal-power, as the Field Guide leads an excursion through creek crossings, eucalyptus forests, wetlands and grassy plains.

Wilderness Safaris: With the aid of a Field Guide and a luxury four-wheel drive vehicle, a wildlife safari allows you to get out into the more remote areas of the reserve to experience the excitement of off-road driving and the wildlife of the wider region.

Historical Tours: Man's contribution to the history of Wolgan Valley is told through two very different perspectives: first by the ancient Indigenous people and their culture and most recently, with two centuries of colonial settlers.
