The stay
What to know about this stay.
COMO Laucala Island holds 25 villas across a private 3,500-acre former coconut plantation in Fiji's remote Northern Lau group, from Plantation Villas set directly in a coconut grove to Peninsula and Overwater residences, each with its own private pool and outdoor bath. The island runs its own working farm and dairy, and much of what ends up on the plate, along with the fish, sometimes travels only a few hundred meters from source to table.
A nine-hole golf course built directly into the old plantation landscape, deep-sea fishing that regularly turns up marlin and mahi-mahi, and diving on some of Fiji's least-visited reef make this one of the most self-contained and genuinely private addresses anywhere in the South Pacific.
