Panorama Route Tour

Explore the Mpumalanga highlands, or the north-eastern section of the Great Escarpment of the Drakensberg. In these rugged mountains, the plateau comes to an abrupt and dramatic halt, falling steeply away into the Lowveld accompanied by incredible views out over the grasslands of Africa. Highlights include Lisbon Falls or the Berlin Falls. The Berlin Falls - likened to the shape of a giant candle - cascade from the center of a sheer cliff that stands roughly 262 feet tall.  The Lisbon Falls - named after the capital of Portugal - lie in the Lisbon Creek just north of Graskop and the waterfall is 308 feet high. The Three Rondavels for a spectacular view over the Blyde River Canyon. Shaped like traditional African beehive huts, the Three Rondavels form three pinnacles of rock rising above the canyon. The Bourke’s Luck Potholes, a formation as the result of decades of swirling water where the Treur River meets the Blyde River, the tumult of which has caused extensive water erosion over time. Spectacular and humbling views at God’s Window. The historical mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest. This tour can be done as a full day or half day.
