Swain Destinations began as a love story. Ian Swain a “true blue” Aussie born in Brisbane met his destiny in a New York nightclub in 1984 when he stole the heart of his soon to be wife, Linda (Prehatny) Swain.
They were engaged in a month, married soon after and in 1987 after the birth of their first child they started Swain Australia Tours. The business grew exponentially with their compass set on personal service, high standards and “No Worries Mate!”
Over the course of the next 10 years, Swain Destinations became the largest seller of South Pacific travel on the East Coast and their growing list of luxury travelers desired more “Swain Trips” to other destinations.
Now, after 35 years, 6 children, 7 grandchildren and an exceptional team of “Master Designers,” along with our sensational suppliers, Swain Destinations has become the leading provider of “Luxury Travel with Heart” to destinations around the world, winning many prestigious awards and accolades along the way.
