Day By Day

Day 1 – Welcome to Tasmania, Australia
Welcome to Tasmania, Australia! Upon arrival you will transfer to your hotel, then embark on a guided city tour. Choose between the Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre, a beer lover’s tour, Seahorse World, Platypus House or high tea at the Hotel Grand Chancellor.  

After your sightseeing activity, enjoy a Feature Welcome Dinner and Drink at your hotel.

Day 2 – Bicheno, Freycinet National Park
Today you have a choice of the following experiences. Enjoy a visit to Bridestowe Lavender Farm to sample the lavender-enhanced fare, head to East Coast Natureworld, meet a rare Tasmanian Devil, or walk along Cape Tourville in Freycinet National Park. 

Later after the day’s touring, enjoy a feature gourmet BBQ dinner - weather permitting.

Day 3 – Freycinet National Park, Richmond, Tasman National Park, Port Arthur
Today you will explore Freycinet National Park then stop in Richmond on the way into Tasman National Park. This evening, enjoy dinner in Port Arthur.

Day 4 – Port Arthur, Hobart
Explore the Port Arthur Historic Site, once Australia’s most notorious convict prison, on a guided tour, followed by a cruise around the Isle of the Dead. Later, arrive in Hobart and visit the city’s charming Botanical Gardens. Tonight, choose your feature dinner. 

For tonight’s feature dinner, choose from Mures Upper Deck, the Drunken Admiral Restaurant, The Henry Jones Art Hotel or Restaurant Tasman.

Day 5 – Hobart
This morning, explore the vibrant Salamanca Market and peruse the treasures of Tasmania at more than 300 stalls. 

Travel to the picturesque Huon Valley and experience the Tahune AirWalk; cruise the Derwent River to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA); enjoy a History of Alcohol walking tour; or embark on the History of People and Places walking tour.

Day 6 – Russell Falls, Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Strahan
Discover the magic of Russell Falls, then continue to World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Travel via Queenstown to Strahan. Tonight, dine at View 42° Restaurant and Bar.

Day 7 – Gordon River, Cradle Mountain
Board the luxurious Lady Jane Franklin II for a cruise along the Gordon River. From the Captain’s Premier Upper Deck, glide across Macquarie Harbour and enter the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.

Enjoy a feature lunch on board the wonderful Lady Jane Franklin II, before heading to Cradle Mountain.

Day 8 – Cradle Mountain, Dove Lake
After exploring Dove Loake, visit Waldheim Chalet then enjoy your chosen activity. You can choose to either explore Dove Lake with a local guide, or perhaps delight in a wine and cheese tasting; search for native animals by torchlight on a night spotlight tour; or join a leisurely afternoon stroll through the pristine alpine scenery surrounding Cradle Mountain.

Starting Accommodation: Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge (B, D)

Day 9 – Stanley, The Nut, The Tarkine, Smithton
Travel to Stanley, set in the shadow of The Nut. Continue to the Julius River Forest Reserve for a walk and afternoon tea.

Journey through the Tarkine region and stop at Sumac Lookout. In Smithton, enjoy an exclusive Tasmanian Fare dinner.

Day 10 – Sheffield, Launceston
Enjoy a chocolate tour at the House of Anvers. Afterwards, visit  the town of Sheffield. In Sheffield, enjoy a guided walk around the historic Woolmers Estate and National Rose Garden.

Day 11 – Ross, Launceston
Travel to the historical township of Ross, once the home of a female penitentiary in the 1800's. Travel around the vast Great Lake on your return to Launceston, before enjoying a special Farewell Dinner and Drink this evening.

Day 12 – Cataract Gorge, Depart Launceston
This morning, discover the unique rock formations of Cataract Gorge, then transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
