Day 2 – Cross the International Date Line
Cross the International Date Line, an imaginary line on the surface of the Earth that runs from the North to the South Pole - and defines one calendar day from the next. Crossing the International Date Line adds one day (24 hours) traveling west, and subtracts one day (24 hours) traveling east.
Day 3 – Welcome to Adelaide, Australia
Welcome to Australia! Upon arrival into Sydney you will need to clear customs and make your way to the domestic terminal for your connecting flight to Adelaide. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.
The capital of South Australia, Adelaide is nestled between the sea and hills. It is a graceful city of wide streets, elegant buildings and parkland. Adelaide is compact and easy to walk around. It is known for its refinement and has a charm and grace that shows in sophisticated wining and dining, and beautiful architecture that has been well preserved. The state of South Australia is home to some of the freshest food and finest wines in Australia. Adelaide has a reputation for innovative, affordable cuisine which, when combined with local wines, is a memorable experience.
Regardless of the season, the Adelaide Hills offer a welcome respite in country air. Investigate historic townships and enjoy heritage accommodation properties with stunning gardens. Adelaide has a great reputation for its art and culture. The Adelaide Festival of Arts and associated Fringe Festival generate a constant energy in the city. The Festival Centre on King William Road is the hub of opera, theater and orchestra. For visual arts, the Art Gallery of South Australia is a must for its collection of Aboriginal works, Australian 19th century paintings and a collection of Rodins. Day 4 – Adelaide to Barossa Valley
Today you will transfer via private vehicle to South Australia's Barossa Valley, touring as you go. Barossa Valley Private Tour
If you enjoy Australian wines or would like to try some, then a day in the renowned Barossa Valley will be one of the highlights of your visit to South Australia. This morning, begin a personally escorted journey that includes a city orientation, before you travel through the scenic Torrens Gorge to the Barossa Valley. Visit Torbreck wine cellars, a small winery with rustic charm, and also enjoy visits to other small wineries to meet well-known wine identities.
You may have the option to include formal premium wine tasting at Penfolds in the morning. A visit to Maggie Beer Farm shop is a must for food lovers. Alternatively, continue through the picturesque villages of Hills en route to Hahndorf, the German village, where you may taste the fine wines produced by Hahandorf Hill winery.The Lane - 360 Panorama Experience

Day 6 – Barossa Valley to Clare ValleyClare Valley Private Day Tour
Departing from your hotel this morning, travel along the scenic route, passing picturesque rural landscapes and small towns heading towards the Clare Valley. Your first introduction to the Valley is the quaint little town of Auburn where a stop is made for morning tea and time for a short wander through antique shops. Taste the product of the small winemakers of the Clare Valley, and perhaps visit the exemplary Grosset's winery, or the stylish wines from Mount Horrocks nearby. Visit the Sevenhills Cellars, to explore the heritage of the first vineyard in the region. Meet Brother May the winemaker and see the original Cellars.
Travel up to the main historical town of Clare to visit the innovative Knappstein winery, then travel through Penwortham and along to the scenic route to Mitchell's winery, where Jane and Andrew Mitchell may show their fine wines. Head to the charming Skillogalee restaurant/winery where a gourmet lunch will be served, under the Olive Groves. If time permits, a stop will be made for a drink at the old Magpie & Stump or for coffee at the stately Martindale Hall before transferring to your accommodation in the Clare Valley.

Day 8 – Barossa Valley to Kangaroo Island
This morning you will transfer from the Barossa Valley to Kangaroo Island via Adelaide. Upon arrival you will be greeted for a full day of touring. Stops of today's tour include Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks, a seafood BBQ lunch and Seal Bay.
After your day of touring has concluded you will be dropped off at Southern Ocean Lodge, your accommodation for your time on Kangaroo Island.Starting Accommodation:

Day 10 – Kangaroo Island to Adealide
Today you will transfer from Southern Ocean Lodge to Kingscote Airport to travel from Kangaroo Island to Adelaide. Fleurieu Explorer

Day 11 – D'Arenberg - The Blending Bench
Nestled between rolling hills and sandy beaches, 20 miles south of Adelaide on the Fleurieu Peninsula, McLaren Vale has a Mediterranean climate ideal for grape growing and is famous for its intensely flavored Shiraz. D'Arenberg is a family-owned winery, operating for over 100 years. The whole range of internationally acclaimed wine is made using traditional methods in the winery and vineyard.
The Blending Bench is a hands on, interactive experience where you play winemaker. A palette of wine parcels, each with distinctive flavors and textures, are melded in search of balance, fullness and finesse. The winery does the physical work - picking, crushing, fermenting, foot treading, basket pressing and barrel ageing, then you get to create a wine that is truly unique.
