Day By Day

Day 1 – Welcome to Hong Kong
Hong Kong is a city of contradictions. Colorful junk-filled Victoria Harbor reflects innovative skyscrapers while the perfume of temple incense mingles with the distinctive scent of McDonald’s French fries. Because of these dazzling contrasts, Hong Kong offers something unique – the chance to experience a vibrant Chinese city without sacrificing the comforts of home. This vibrant city is crowned by the imposing Victoria Peak, which soars above Hong Kong’s hustle and bustle, providing stunning views of the shopper’s seventh-heaven, Kowloon Peninsula, across the bustling harbor. Head to the floating village of Aberdeen and dine on dim sum while your restaurant sways on a gentle swell. Overload your senses with a trip to Central Market where everything from fruit to flip-flops spill out onto the streets.

Starting Accommodation: The Langham Place, Mongkok

Day 2 – Hong Kong Island Orientation
Today you will be picked up from hotel to traverse the world-renowned Victoria Harbour via the Cross-Harbor Tunnel.  We then drive through Wanchai and take the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak, which operates on a double reversible funicular system with a maximum speed of 6 meters per second. Victoria Peak offers a breath-taking 360-degree view of the bustling harbor, Hong Kong Island and Kowloon as far as the eye can see.  From Victoria Peak, the tour continues to Aberdeen village via the scenic resort areas of Repulse Bay and Deep Water Bay. At Aberdeen board a sampan to see the fishing junks and the Jumbo floating restaurant moored there. The tour will continue to Stanley Markets where you will have free time to stroll around historic fishing lanes jam-packed with vendors selling Chinese artwork, silk collectibles and curios.

The afternoon is at your leisure to explore the city on your own.

Day 3 – Hong Kong Heritage Tour
The Heritage Tour offers visitors a first hand experience of the great restorations that have been taking place in Hong Kong to preserve its rich cultural heritage. The first stop is the Man Mo Temple and the Tai Po Market first established in 1892 in the New Territories. Built a century ago, the temple is dedicated to Man, the God of Literature and Mo the God of Martial Arts. From there, the tour goes on to The Wishing Tree of Hong Kong which folklore has it that a spirit in the tree grants wishes to those that came to pray. The tour continues on to Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall and the walled villages of Lo Wai passing through the Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail, the homeland of the Tang Clan showcasing the deepest of Chinese religious life. The tour terminates with a visit to Tai Fu tai, an opulent stately home that was built in 1865 by a scholar of the gentry class.

The afternoon is at your leisure to explore the city on your own.
