It's hard to image anything more delightfully decadent after a long day. Picture your choice of drinks and delicious food from Beijing's hippest restaurant Jing, served to your room, while you sing into the pillows of your king-sized bed after a long soak in the bath. Your 42-inch plasma flat screen television is playing a selection of movies from the Peninsula's DVD library. Probably the best night in you'll have in Beijing.

Club Grand Deluxe Room
A spacious room with elegant East-meets-West decor, it also provides expansive views of the historical capital. All rooms feature free wired or wireless high-speed internet. The Club offers check-in and check-out services, clothes pressing services and a private lounge serving complimentary buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. Executive Suite
The spacious Executive Suite provides a cozy bedroom separate from the sitting, dining and desk area. The latest technological innovation from The Peninsula's Research and Development division is the MP3/4 connectivity, so guests can now play their own music and videos through the hotel system. This follows the introduction of 42-inch plasma flat screen televisions and CD/DVD players, complemented by a large movie library.

Deluxe Suite
More reminiscent of a fabulously appointed city center apartment than hotel rooms, the Duplex Suites have a singular style and character all on their own. Light and airy, with views of the capital through double height floor-to-ceiling windows, guests love the homely feeling of enjoying a downstairs sitting room before climbing the stairs to bed. These popular suites often become firm favorites with regular visitors.

Beijing Suite
Combining two original suites to create a modern 165 square meter residence, these suites feature large living and dining area, plus an expansive dressing area adjoining the master bedroom. A private cinema room with upholstered sofas and armchairs offer the possibility of relaxing while watching a movie. There is a study room which can be converted into a second bedroom for those traveling with family. Family guests can also enjoy in-room amenities and baby products through an exclusive partnership with Norwegian baby brand Stokke, adding convenience for those with babies and toddlers.

The Peninsula Suite
Being designed as a stylish urban update of the traditional courtyard home of a Chinese aristocrat, the Peninsula Suite is perfect for entertaining and enhanced by a collection of Chinese antiques and artworks. This 660 square meter suite also offers a large dining room that can seat up to 18 guests with a separate kitchen, living room, study, private gym and a second guest bedroom. Exclusive access is provided by a private elevator directly from the lobby.

Things To Do

Beijing literally means ‘northern capital’. It is China's second largest city in terms of population, after Shanghai and emperors and entrepreneurs have both called this flashy capital home. Although joint venture capitalists have replaced royalty and uniformed school children throng to shopping malls instead of the Chairman Mao Mausoleum, Beijing is still China’s cultural tour de force, boasting more than 50 museums and cultural centers.

Stroll through the palaces, temples, and parks where emperors once pranced on heated marble, or sip tea at a trendy teahouse and hobnob with Beijing’s nouveau riche. For an architectural delight, be sure to visit the Hutongs or alleys, which connect the interior of Beijing's old city. While ancient treasures abound, Beijing is a thriving, bustling metropolis, offering world-class amenities, all connected by an intricate system of freeways and subways.
