Each room and suite in the palace is distinctly designed to capture a different mood and period. Mosaics, exquisite artifacts, and other fine embellishments punctuate opulent silks, richly colored frescoes and ornately carved furniture.
A captivating orchestration of simplicity, elegance and attention to detail, Luxury rooms showcase the finest modern craftsmanship, yet never leave their heritage behind. These rooms are stylishly and amply outfitted and as one might expect, every conceivable comfort is provided. Luxury rooms offer everything one needs and the Royal Butler will take care of the rest.
Palace rooms are imbued with more space than Luxury rooms and their fair share of archways and patterned mystique. Classical Indian architecture, high ceilings and rich décor with floral artwork provide the most charming of settings, yet a range of advanced technology is always close at hand.
The Royal Suites most assuredly live up to their name. Gracefully composed details imbue the suites with effortless royal charm. Guests delight in the delicate frescoes, decorative wall niches and antique wooden fans. The views are panoramic, even from the bathrooms. Royal Suites are graced with traditional décor, impeccable interiors and stained glass windows. Another favorite feature of the Royal Suites is the extra sitting areas with stunning views of the lake.
Grand Royal Suites
The Grand Royal Suites are the epitome of royal grandeur and offer guests a taste of the finest traditions and lifestyles of the princely kingdom of Udaipur. The resplendent Grand Royal Suites are the part of the original design of the palace and their decadence is legendary. Many Grand Royal Suites also flaunt an attached terrace. However lavish the suites may be, they are also warm and welcoming to a fault.
Grand Presidential Suite
The Shambhu Prakash suite is named after the Maharana Shambhu Singh, known for his progressive reforms and welfare measures in the 1860’s. The suite, furnished in impressive, opulent strokes of color graced with high curved arches, exudes a mix of both Rajasthani and European grandeur.
In the tradition of the city’s finest heritage hotel, Shambhu Prakash exceeds the expectations of its guests. The Suite’s style cleverly melds a variety of themes reflecting Mewar’s diverse history of ethnic cultures. The suite opens to a comfortable and elegantly appointed library stocked with select literary works and handpicked artifacts. An adjoining balcony offers views of what is arguably the best lake view sunset in the world.
