Day By Day

Day 1 – USA to Bangkok
Today you will begin your Swain Destinations customized itinerary. Please note, international air has not been included in this package price.

Day 2 – Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand
Upon arrival and after clearing customs and immigration, a driver will meet you and transfer you directly to your downtown hotel.

The city of Bangkok provides sensory indulgence overload with ornate temples, spectacular food and endless activity. The city shines with color from its lavish temples including Wat Trimitir featuring a 5.5 ton Golden Buddha, Wat Po which is the largest and oldest temple in Bangkok, and of course, the magnificent Grand Palace. The tastiest cuisine is served up at the street stalls and tiny sidewalk restaurants where food is cheap and safely prepared so fill up on curries soups, fresh fish, rice, noodles, and fruit shakes. The night markets are a great time to experience the culture of the city that never sleeps.

An exciting brew of traffic and temples, luxury hotels and labyrinth-like streets, the “City of Angels,” is a hectic heaven. This inexhaustible energy is part of Bangkok’s charm, and it has made this feisty capital one of Asia’s favorite tourist destinations. Cutting through the heart of the city, the magnificent Chao Phraya River, “the River of Kings” provides easy access to Bangkok’s numerous Buddhist temples and the Grand Palace, as well offering insight into Thai life.

Day 3 – Bangkok City Touring
Klongs and Grand Palace Tour
Take a morning boat ride along the Chao Phraya River, known as the ‘River of Kings’ and its quiet canals, on the West Side of Bangkok. Life along the river and canals is very interesting especially in the Orchis area. Stop at the Temple of Dawn 'Wat Arun' which is one of the city’s landmarks and visit the Royal Palace to see Dusit Hall (funeral hall), holy Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha), and a fabulous Buddha image, carved from a single piece of Jade.

Evening Shop Chim-Chill Foodies Tour
Pick-up from your hotel in Bangkok and transfer to China Town to start the walking foodies tour. There are thousands of street food stalls which make Bangkok one of the yummiest town for visitors. If you are looking for great authentic food, join us and discover delicious and amazing tastes at Chinatown, locally called Yaowarat. In the middle of Bangkok you will find that district which is full of traditional, cultural & excellent food - and not only Chinese food. Explore, eat and enjoy!! You will enjoy a variety of dishes such as Hong Kong noodles, Dim-Sum (Pan-fried taro cake, steamed pork rib with preserved soya bean), Grilled Jumbo Prawn with Thai seafood chilli sauce, Fried battered mussels, Chinese Bun, Old Chinese Herbal-Drink, Black Sesame Dumpling in Ginger Tea and Thai Tropical Seasonal Fruit.

Day 4 – Bangkok to Chiang Rai
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market Tour
A glimpse of everyday life in Thailand can be seen at the Damnoen Saduak Floating market, which is located some 50 miles from Bangkok near Ratchaburi. Your journey commences with a leisurely drive passing through salt fields and rice paddies before arriving at a jetty. Here we will board long tail boats to take you to the market.

The market is made up of Thai style canoes laden with colorful, succulent fruits, vegetables, sweets and meats. They gently ply their way through the canal selling as they go. Treat your eyes to a parade of colorful canoes laden with everything from juicy mangoes to jolly-faced souvenirs; or paddle up to one of the floating markets and order a bowl of steaming noodles.

Bangkok to Chiang Rai
This afternoon board your flight to Chiang Rai and set off to the Anantara Resort Golden Triangle. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Northern Thailand's rugged hill country, Anantara's Golden Triangle resort is a luxury nature retreat set amidst 160 acres of lush tropical jungles overlooking the winding Mekong River and the border with Burma and Laos.

Day 5 – Activities at Anantara

Day 7 – Chiang Rai to Krabi
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Krabi, by way of Bangkok.

Day 8 – At leisure, Krabi
Krabi's original identity as a small fishing and trading port can still be glimpsed by taking a stroll through the center of the old town. Here, hawkers and fishermen wheel and deal their daily wares over heated games of checkers. Today, though the province has grown into a world renowned resort destination, the local folk have lost none of their rustic charm, and are always ready to welcome visitors to the laid-back lifestyle of their home.

Day 9 – Ocean Canoe Adventure
Try paddling your own kayak along the mangrove canal and learn locals way of life. This active tour is ideal to discover places from another point of view. Before going on the water, you will be given a short introduction to safety rules and aids. Then, you will just have to follow our experienced canoe guide and admire Krabis natural splendour from the canal. We will pass stunning limestone mountains, impressive mangrove forests and wild flora and fauna while paddling. Also, do not be surprised to see monkeys, lizards and various bird species while on the way. The highlight of this canoe tour will be when reaching the Canyon where serene tranquillity provides you with some rest. Of course, Asia World provides with such an active tour, a much needed lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 10 – Krabi to Bangkok
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Bangkok where you will spend an overnight.
