Daintree Ecolodge

Set in the heart of the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest, the Daintree Ecolodge combines nature, nurture and culture in a pure rainforest environment. Believed to be over 180 million years old, and the oldest tropical lowland rainforest on Earth, the Daintree Rainforest is a rare and precious botanical treasure.

Nestled amongst the foliage, the Daintree Ecolodge showcases 15 eco-friendly bayans (treehouses) immersed in the breathtaking rainforest canopy. Rise to the sound of the birds in the rainforest above, breathe-in the fresh tropical air and discover the lodge's private onsite waterfall on a leisurely stroll through the enchanting rainforest.

The Daintree Ecolodge provides the perfect base to explore the treasures of the Daintree region; the only place in the world where two UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites meet (the Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef)! The Daintree Ecolodge is located 110 kilometers north of Cairns (90 minutes) and 45 kilometers north of Port Douglas (40 minutes) via sealed roads.

On the menu, you can expect to find Australian heroes such as quandong, lemon myrtle, barramundi, kangaroo and crocodile. ‘Julayma’ is the indigenous word for the Daintree and the restaurant inspires diners to remember the eternal relationship between environment and food. An immersive degustation dining experience, paired to matching wines, can also be arranged in a private and romantic rainforest setting. For those exploring the neighboring sights, request a gourmet picnic hamper for your lunch in the rainforest. The hampers are designed to provide guests with the freshest, premium and organic treats the local area has to offer.

Daintree Wellness Spa

The Daintree Wellness Spa is an idyllic rainforest hideaway where you can indulge the senses. The local Kuku Yalanji people have named this place ‘Wawu Karrba’ which means ‘healing of the spirit.’ Today, the pure waters from the pristine onsite waterfall create a healing environment for spa goers. Their treatments have been curated to harness ancient traditions and enhance wellbeing to give a sense of healing and awakenment. A quintessential spa experience is the ‘Julma at the Waterfall’ a massage treatment alongside the sacred onsite waterfall surrounded by ancient rainforest (to be booked in advance).
