Recently restored to its former grandeur, this heritage listed hotel is a local landmark offering the elegance, luxury and charm of yesteryear. The spacious guest rooms and Suites are offered in an array of different styles, catering for all tastes and budgets. The historic hotel is located in the Blue Mountains, at the 'Top End' of Katoomba Street, right in the heart of the village's shopping district. Conveniently close to Katoomba Station, cafes, restaurants, gift stores and only 67 miles from Sydney International Airport.

Room Information

Traditional Room
These rooms offer the original Carrington experience, with separate Ladies and Gentleman's share bathroom facilities; including showers, traditional deep baths and toilets, located at the end of the hall.

Located on the first floor in their own wing, these rooms have been fully restored and the bathrooms feature the original claw foot deep baths.

Colonial Room
Situated on the first floor in the North wing, these rooms were built in 1927 and offer either original deep baths or walk-in showers in the en suites with bay window seats and most have stained glass features. Please note - no views are available from these rooms.

Premier Spa Room
Offering a large en suite with a two person corner spa, these rooms are located on the second floor of the hotel. Rooms are very spacious and offer elegant decor to suit the ambience of The Carrington Hotel. Please note - no views are available from these rooms.

Junior Suite
These elegant and spacious Suites are open plan featuring a queen sized four poster bed, large en suite with corner spa, bathrobes, flat screen televisions and DVD players. Most Junior Suites also offer views of the Jamison Valley.

Things To Do

Dining

A number of bars and dining venues are on offer at the hotel. Choose from the hearty fare of the award winning Old City Bank Brasserie or Champagne Charlies 'Carrington Day Menu'. The Grand Dining Room is open Sunday afternoons for Grand High Tea and Thursday to Saturday evenings for dinner. The Old City Bank Bar, reminiscent of an old English pub, is popular with tourists and locals alike and offers access to an outdoor beer garden. The Hotel's Public Bar offers Foxtel, pool tables and a large open fire during the cooler months.

The Grand Dining Room: Features soaring columns, lofty gilded ceilings and stained glass and is one of the last Victorian dining rooms still operating in Australia. Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights for Dinner. Sunday afternoons for Grand High Tea.

Old City Bank Brasserie: Offers an informal dining experience - wood-fired pizzas, burgers, pastas, steaks and the freshest salads. Located at the bottom of the main hotel driveway, upstairs from the Old City Bank Bar, the award-winning Brasserie is open for lunch and dinner daily.

Champagne Charlies: Offers a wide selection of beverages, specializing in cocktails.
