Things To Do

Apart from its predators, the area is renowned for its large concentrations of plains-game, elephant and buffalo. Several lion prides as well as genet cats and hyena also live in abundance here. Like the rest of the Okavango Delta, the area is a paradise for bird lovers, with over 500 species. Key wildlife include: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, impala, zebra, wild dog, hyena, and hippo.

The following activities are included in your stay:

Game Drives
Guests are able to enjoy thrilling guided game drives lead by highly qualified professional guides in customized open 4 x 4 game viewing vehicles. The expert guides are always on hand to share a wealth of wildlife knowledge, taking guests deep into the bush on morning and afternoon game drives. On the plains, watch the roaming lions that prey on the thousands of antelope, zebra and buffalo who live here all year round. Spot leopard, hyena and cheetah, perhaps even the rare wild dog.

Mokoro Excursions
The Okavango Delta is flooded for much of the year and when it is, guests can experience the gentle pace of a poled mokoro excursion along the narrow Delta channels. Sit back and relax as you glide through lily ponds on local dugout canoes while watching the surrounding wildlife. (Subject to water levels). Generally mokoros are available January to October but can’t be guaranteed.

Additional Activities

Scenic Helicopter Flights
Enjoy a scenic helicopter flight over the permanent delta, exposing areas unreachable by vehicle or boat and showcasing the sheer enormity of the Okavango Delta. There is the option of the doors being removed for unrestricted photographic opportunities. Guests are able to choose between a 30, 45 or 60 minute tour in a three seater, one turbine Bell Jetranger helicopter. This activity is offered on a year round basis. Guests are able to choose when they would like to do the activity, however we would recommend early morning and late afternoon as this time usually provides the best light for photography. Preferred flight times can be requested in camp when making a booking. (Available to a minimum of 2 guests).

Spa Treatments
A range of spa treatments are available from the spa treatment room. Everything about the camp and treatment room is environmentally friendly, including the Africology spa treatment range used. The perfect way to end a day of spectacular game viewing. Additional activities are at an additional cost and can be pre-booked or while guests are in camp.
