Xigera Camp

Xigera Mokoro Trails Camp (pronounced Keejera) lies on the aptly named Paradise Island, surrounded by deep channels and lush vegetation. There are ten raised luxury tents with en-suite facilities, an outdoor shower – and superb views of the classic Okavango Delta floodplains that surround the camp. Meals and evening drinks are enjoyed in the lounge, bar and dining area overlooking a permanently flowing channel or under the stars in a traditional African boma. For those hot days there is a small plunge pool in which to cool off.

Things To Do

Activities

Game Drives
Game drives in open Land Rovers each accommodate a maximum of seven guests allowing each guest an outside seat. Please note there are no night drives at Xigera.

Mokoro Excursions
There is no better way of viewing game and capturing the essence of the Okavango than by traditional mokoro (dug-out canoe).

Boating
Water-level dependent, boating is another idyllic form of viewing water-based wildlife. We have a power boat which seats eight people.

Nature Walks
Short walks are possible around the islands whilst out in the boat or on mokoro excursions.

Fishing
Fishing with a limited supply of basic equipment is on offer seasonally on a catch-and-release basis. Please note fishing takes place in waters outside of the Moremi since fishing is not allowed within the Game Reserve.
