Swain Destinations Curates Community Touch Points Throughout South Africa
Partnership with USTOA Shares “Live Like a Local” Experiences

joined with The United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) to present “live like a local” moments through a thoughtfully curated collection of experiential videos, part of USTOA’s Travel Together
Swain Destinations took travel expert and video journalist Kelley Ferro through South Africa for immersive cultural experiences, capturing the essence of life in this historically-rich locale. Each video shares a number of local connections accessible through Swain Destinations. From the Madalika Craft Center where unemployed women earn income by hand-crafting glass beads to the culinary education program geared towards local youth, Swain Destinations creates community touch points for travelers.
The series of videos delve deeply into five aspects the region—Food & Wine, Customized Experiences, Luxury Safaris, Conservation, and Living like a local— highlighting Cape Winelands’ renowned Pinotage and Chenin Blanc, addressing efforts to preserve endangered cheetahs, and noting Cape Town’s blossoming culinary scene.
